Tottenham winger Gareth Bale insists that form "goes out of the window" ahead of Saturday's North London derby against Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has insisted that form "goes out of the window" ahead of Saturday's North London derby against Arsenal.

Spurs make the short trip to the Emirates Stadium one place above their local rivals in the Premier League table, but both sides go into the match without a win in their last two games.

"It's almost the perfect situation," Bale explained to the club's official website. "All form goes out of the window in the derby.

"We'll go out there to play for the fans and try to go out for a victory. You step onto the pitch and feel the atmosphere around you. It's a great day and hopefully we'll come out on top."

Tottenham were beaten 5-2 by the Gunners in last season's fixture at the Emirates.
