Michael Dawson reveals that he is ready to slot back into the Tottenham Hotspur starting lineup after recovering from an Achilles injury.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson has insisted that he has no problem slotting straight back into the starting lineup.

A hamstring injury to Ledley King could force manager Harry Redknapp to call upon Dawson quicker than expected.

28-year-old Dawson has recently recovered from a four-month absence with an Achilles injury and featured during Spurs' FA Cup win over Cheltenham Town at the weekend.

"I was out for three months last year and I then went out to play lots of games so it's not the first time this has happened," Dawson said.

"Injuries are hard and when you come back you need to come back and perform at the best of your ability and do what you can and I will always back myself to do that.

"I didn't feel any reaction to the injury [on Saturday]. I feel good.

Dawson joined Spurs in 2005 from Nottingham Forest.
