Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker believes that his side deserved their 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker has insisted that his side deserved their 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.

Clint Dempsey struck deep into injury time for the hosts at White Hart Lane following Robin van Persie's first-half opener.

"I don't think Man United were probably at their best and we put a lot of pressure on them in the second half and we got the deserved goal - we deserved to get a point out of that game, definitely," Parker told Sky Sports News.

"I think we've shown a real resilience, we've had a good first half to the season. We need to now go and push on, keep getting points, keep as tight as we can."

The draw means that fourth-placed Spurs are now four points clear of fifth-placed Everton.
