Italy boss Cesare Prandelli dismisses rumours of moving to Tottenham Hotspur

Italy manager Cesare Prandelli rejects rumours that he could become the new permanent head coach of Tottenham Hotspur.

Italy manager Cesare Prandelli has rejected rumours that he could become the new permanent head coach at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 56-year-old's future with the Italian national team is currently up in the air, which has led to speculation that he could take over at White Hart Lane.

However, Prandelli, who is said to have a good relationship with Tottenham's technical director Franco Baldini, has laughed off suggestions that he could be at Spurs by next season.

"Me to Tottenham next season? This is fantasy football," Prandelli told Italian TV station Rai.

"Now it's too soon to talk about my future, but after the friendly with Spain on March 5 we will have a meeting with (Italian Football Federation president Giancarlo) Abete and other federation members."

Prandelli, who has guided Italy to 22 victories in 50 games, will come to the end of his current contract in July.
