Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he can't wait to get started on a new challenge with another club.
The 65-year-old was dismissed from the North London club yesterday following discussions with chairman Daniel Levy for half an hour.
"It was nothing to do with contracts or me asking for anything," Redknapp told BBC Sport. "I had a year left and that was fine. The club decided to have a change. It is a decision the chairman decided to make.
"I would suit any job. Who knows what will happen in football? I don't think I am coming to the end of my career. Alex Ferguson is in his 70s and is still the best manager in the world. I am fit as a fiddle."
It is understood that the former Portsmouth boss has agreed compensation with the Premier League outfit, where he spent four years of his career.
