Reports suggest that Emmanuel Adebayor will be sacrificed as Tottenham Hotspur plan a summer swoop for another striker.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen to ship Emmanuel Adebayor out of White Hart Lane this summer.

The 29-year-old, who made his move from Manchester City permanent in August, has has managed just two goals in 16 Premier League games this season.

According to the London Evening Standard, the Togo international does not feature in Andre Villas-Boas's long-term plans in North London.

The Portuguese coach is believed to be desperate to land Internacional striker Leandro Damiao, but must make sacrifices in order to ease the strain on the wage bill.

The same newspaper quote Adebayor's four-year deal to be worth near to £100,000 per week.
