Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min is close to agreeing a new contract with the North London club, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min is allegedly close to penning a new deal with the North London outfit.

The South Korea international has been a shining light in Spurs' season with 20 goals and 16 assists across all competitions - including 15 strikes in the Premier League.

Son has formed a deadly double act with Harry Kane this season, but the future of his strike partner is up in the air as Tottenham face another trophyless end to the season.

However, the Daily Star reports that Son will soon pen fresh terms at Ryan Mason's side, where his current deal is due to expire in 2023.

The report claims that talks over a new deal have been dragging on since September, and Daniel Levy will hope that tying Son down to fresh terms will ease some of the growing pressure on his shoulders.

The 28-year-old has amassed a total of 105 goals and 63 assists in 275 appearances for the Lilywhites since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.
