Stoke City 'make £14m bid for Badou Ndiaye'

Stoke City reportedly make a £14m bid for Galatasaray midfielder Badou Ndiaye, who has also been linked with the likes of Crystal Palace, Newcastle and West Ham.

Stoke City have reportedly made a £14m bid for Galatasaray midfielder Badou Ndiaye.

The Senegal international has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs during the January transfer window, with the likes of Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Newcastle United all credited with an interest.

Galatasaray confirmed that they have received offers for the central midfielder and left him out of Saturday's match against Osmanlispor due to the player becoming "distracted" by the speculation over his future.

"Badou Ndiaye has received offers from clubs overseas. Badou has been removed from the squad set to face Osmanlispor as he is currently distracted from his on field duties by the transfer talks," read a statement from the Turkish outfit.

The Daily Mail reports that Stoke are one of the clubs to have lodged an official bid as they look to add to their squad before Wednesday's transfer deadline.

Galatasaray value Ndiaye at around £15m, but Stoke are hopeful that their £14m offer will be enough to prise the 27-year-old away from the Super Lig.

Stoke currently sit 17th in the Premier League table, just one point clear of the relegation zone.
