Stuttgart striker Vedad Ibisevic reveals West Ham United interest

Stuttgart striker Vedad Ibisevic claims that West Ham were among a number of teams who tried to sign him during the summer transfer window.

Stuttgart striker Vedad Ibisevic has claimed that West Ham United tried to sign him this summer.

The 30-year-old was heavily linked with a move away from the Bundesliga outfit before transfer deadline day, but the club eventually refused to let him leave.

Despite revealing that West Ham and Trabzonspor both failed in their attempts to sign him, Ibisevic believes that he could yet join a new team in January.

"I stayed but you never know, if a good offer comes in, I may leave," the Bosnian international told turkish-football.com.

"Vahid Halilhodzic and Trabzonspor contacted me and offered me great conditions. West Ham also wanted me, but Stuttgart did not want to sell this summer. I have bigger ambitions so that is why I may yet leave."

Ibisevic scored 10 goals for Stuttgart during the 2013-14 campaign.
