Jack Colback heading for Newcastle United?

Newcastle United are reportedly on the verge of sealing a move for Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback.

The 24-year-old is out of contract this summer following a six-year spell with the Black Cats.

Aston Villa and West Ham United have both been linked with Colback, but Newcastle are thought to have won the race for his signature, according to the Evening Chronicle.

Colback, who supported the Magpies as a boy, scored three goals in 42 appearances for Sunderland last season.
