Report: Sunderland make surprise move for Swansea City striker Andre Ayew

Sunderland have reportedly set their sights on poaching Andre Ayew from fellow Premier League strugglers Swansea City this month.

According to Sky Sports News, the Black Cats have made a formal approach to sign the Ghanaian forward.

Ayew only joined Swansea on a four-year deal at the start of the season and scored one of his seven Premier League goals against Sam Allardcye's side in midweek.

Sunderland have already signed Jan Kirchhoff and Dame N'Doye this month.
