Bob Bradley "confident" of Swansea City turnaround

Swansea City manager Bob Bradley insists that he has seen enough during his short time at the club to make him "confident" of turning the team's form around.

Swansea City manager Bob Bradley has insisted that he is "confident" of his ability to turn the club's form around this season.

Bradley's reign got off to a losing start this afternoon as they fell to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Arsenal, despite the Gunners playing with 10 men for the final 20 minutes.

However, the American has seen enough positives during his short time in charge to make him believe that brighter times are ahead in South Wales.

"That game had many different parts. We started poorly. Defensively the first two goals were not handled well but we gave ourselves a real chance," he told reporters.

"At 3-1 the quality of football came up again. I am obviously a little disappointed but I feel there were some positives that can be taken from the performance.

"Of course we are confident we can turn this around - after the week of training we have just had and the mentality of the team, for me we are going to become a good team. There is a lot there and the response of the players has been good."

The defeat leaves Swansea 19th in the Premier League table having amassed just four points from their opening eight games.
