Lukasz Fabianski: 'Manchester United win can be a springboard for Swansea City'

Lukasz Fabianski thinks that the 2-1 win over Manchester United can act as a springboard for the rest of Swansea City's season.

Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski believes that their 2-1 win against Manchester United can act as a springboard for the rest of the season.

The victory marked a Swans double over United for the season, following their triumph at Old Trafford on the opening day of the campaign, and the ex-Arsenal keeper thinks that the win will give the whole squad a "massive boost" for the remainder of the term.

He told BBC Sport: "The atmosphere is good in the dressing room - everyone is happy with the win, especially against that kind of opponent. It gives us a massive boost of confidence for the coming games.

"I had a lot of crosses and set pieces to deal with, I was expecting more shots instead of crosses. But anyway, we managed to win so we are all happy.

"I think at Old Trafford we had more possession and looked more comfortable on the ball. Today, United had more possession obviously but they didn't create that much. They had a few half chances but nothing that clearcut."

Garry Monk's side travel to Burnley next week.
