Garry Monk wary of West Ham United challenge

Swansea City boss Garry Monk insists that his side will have to be at their best to rise to the challenge of facing in-form West Ham United at Upton Park on Sunday.

Swansea City boss Garry Monk has warned his side they will face an extremely tough test in their Premier League clash against West Ham United.

Both teams have had excellent starts to their season and are in the mix for a European spot, and Monk feels that there is plenty to admire about the Hammers and manager Sam Allardyce ahead of the match at Upton Park.

Monk told the club's official website: "They have done incredibly well. They have been up there since the start of the season and have a very good team and squad with plenty of quality.

"I've watched a lot of them this season and it is great credit to their manager that they are where they are.

"But it is another tough game for us and a difficult place to. It's also a great place to play football because they have good fans and the atmosphere is always great there and hopefully we can go there and put a performance on."

Swansea are seventh in the Premier League ahead of Sunday's game.
