Neil Taylor pleased with defensive display

Swansea City defender Neil Taylor praises his side's defensive effort after they kept their fifth clean sheet of the season in their goalless draw against Everton.

Swansea City defender Neil Taylor has admitted that he was delighted with his side's defensive display in their goalless draw against Everton.

The Swans secured a vital point at Goodison Park as they kept their fifth clean sheet of the campaign, despite seeing Jonjo Shelvey sent off in the second half.

Taylor told the club's official website: "We defended well as a team – you have to when you come to Goodison Park. As a team we limited them to very few chances, and I don't think Lukasz [Fabianski] had any saves to make in the second half.

"So to get to 10 games in the Premier League with five draws is a fantastic return, and it's even more pleasing for us defenders.

"If you can't win a game you have to make sure you don't lose it. Five clean sheets in ten games prove that the work we've put in during pre-season is majorly paying off and we're certainly tightening up as a defensive unit."

Garry Monk's side are sixth in the Premier League with 15 points from their 10 matches this season.
