On-loan midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson could make his Swansea City debut in Saturday's FA Cup third round tie against Barnsley at Oakwell.

Championship side Barnsley will be without influential captain Jacob Butterfield for Saturday's FA Cup third round tie against Swansea City at Oakwell.

The 22-year-old has been ruled out for the rest of the season after he damaged anterior cruciate ligaments against Leeds United on New Year's Eve.

Midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson is expected to make his debut for the Premier League side after he completed his loan move from German club Hoffenheim.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he is unlikely to tamper with the team that earned an impressive 2-0 win at Aston Villa on Monday.

Swansea suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Leyton Orient in the fourth round of last season's competition, while Barnsley were beaten 2-0 at West Ham United in the third round.

Current Form:

Barnsley: WLLLWL
Swansea: WDLDDW

Possible lineups:

Barnsley: Steele; Hassell, McEveley, Foster, Wiseman; McNulty,
Addison, Done, Perkins; Davies, Vaz Te

Swansea: Vorm; Williams, Taylor, Caulker, Rangel; Britton,
Sigurdsson, Dyer, Routledge; Augustien, Graham

Sports Mole says: 1-3
