Stephane Mbia close to Trabzonspor deal?

Trabzonspor president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu reveals that his club are in talks with Sevilla's out-of-contract midfielder Stephane Mbia over a move this summer.

Trabzonspor president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu has revealed that the club are in contact with Cameroon midfielder Stephane Mbia over a transfer this summer.

Mbia played a key role in Sevilla's Europa League success during the 2014-15 season, but the midfielder is out of contract at the end of June.

Haciosmanoglu has claimed that Trabzonspor are keen to sign the 29-year-old and a deal could be completed this week.

"We want to sign him and we hope to finalise a contract," the Turkish club's president told reporters.

Mbia joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer.
