Chris Hughton is allegedly in contention to become the new head coach at Watford.
Despite having only been appointed in September, Quique Sanchez Flores has been removed from his position in the dugout after picking up just seven points from 10 games in the Premier League.
After sacking the Spaniard on Sunday, Watford stated that the appointment of Flores's successor was imminent as they bid to move out of the relegation zone.
According to The Guardian, Hughton, who has been out of work since leaving Brighton & Hove Albion in May, is a strong contender to arrive at Vicarage Road.
There is the suggestion that whoever takes over from Flores could be in the dugout for the trip to Leicester City on Wednesday evening.
