West Ham manager Sam Allardyce claims his team's victory over Millwall was one of the best of his career.

Sam Allardyce has hailed West Ham's 10-man 2-1 derby win over Millwall as one of the best of his career.

The Hammers boss was delighted with his team's response, after captain Kevin Nolan was dismissed early in the first half for a two-footed tackle on Jack Smith.

Allardyce told Sky Sports News: "This is by far one of the best wins I've ever had in my entire management career.

"To play in a local derby and to go down to ten men after nine minutes and then to perform the way we performed was absolutely outstanding.

"The whole group of players did a fantastic job today and it wasn't anything other than they deserved."

The result was West Ham's fourth consecutive home win.
