Andy Carroll: Brace against Swansea City "means a lot"

West Ham striker Andy Carroll shows his delight at scoring his first Premier League goals in eight months, saying that he now feels as though he is "definitely back".

West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has insisted that he is "definitely back" to something close to his best form following his two-goal showing against Swansea City this afternoon.

The 25-year-old, who returned to action last month following a spell on the sidelines due to a troublesome ankle injury, netted his first Premier League goals in eight months to fire the Hammers to a 3-1 victory at Upton Park.

Speaking to Sky Sports News after the game, Carroll said: "We got the two goals and got the win it means a lot to the lads and it means a lot to me to get back on the scoresheet.

"Now I've scored I am definitely back. It is great to win three in a week, it is massive boost and it is a great thing for the club to achieve."

West Ham are now up to third in the league table, with a trip to Sunderland up next.
