Carl Jenkinson frustrated with West Ham United form

West Ham United defender Carl Jenkinson admits that he and his teammates are annoyed by their record in the Premier League since the turn of the year.

West Ham United defender Carl Jenkinson has revealed his frustration with his side's defeat to Leicester City.

The Hammers fell to their fourth loss in their last five matches as a late strike from Andy King condemned them to defeat at the King Power Stadium.

Jenkinson has admitted that he and his teammates are annoyed with their form which has seen them slide down the table after being contention for a European place at the start of the year.

He told the club's official website: "We wanted to build some momentum after beating Sunderland in the last game, but that's football. It's only one game and we've got a big one against Stoke next. They're near us in the table and we need to get a result.

"We had the chances but the ball just didn't want to go in for us in the second half. It's very frustrating but that's football sometimes. It seems the case at the moment that we can't quite get the results we deserve at times. Hopefully that'll change because we want to finish as high up the league as we can.

"There's enough games for us, it's not going to be easy because some of the teams we're playing are fighting against relegation. Everyone's got something to play for, so it's going to be tough but we've got to be prepared for that."

West Ham are ninth in the Premier League, with seven matches remaining in their season.
