Aston Villa are reportedly set to face competition from Everton and West Ham United for Burnley striker Chris Wood, whose value is in excess of £30m.

West Ham United and Everton have reportedly joined the race to sign Burnley striker Chris Wood, amid interest from Aston Villa.

The New Zealand international scored 12 goals for Sean Dyche's side in the recently-completed season, which means that Wood has now hit double figures in the Premier League for four consecutive years.

Villa have already been linked with a move for Wood and are reportedly prepared to spend big money to bring the striker to the West Midlands, as Burnley value him in excess of £30m.

However, Football Insider reports that Dean Smith's club will not be the only Premier League outfit in the hunt for his signature as the Hammers and the Toffees could commence a bidding war for Wood.

West Ham are in the market for a replacement for Sebastien Haller, who left London for Ajax in January, and Everton will have to negotiate the needs of a new manager when they appoint Carlo Ancelotti's successor.

Wood arrived at Turf Moor from Leeds United for a club-record fee of £17m in 2017, and has gone on to score 50 goals in 144 appearances for the club.
