Nouha Dicko aiming to return before end of season

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Nouha Dicko refuses to accept that his season is over, despite suffering a cruciate ligament injury last weekend.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Nouha Dicko has revealed that he is aiming to return from a cruciate ligament injury before the end of the season.

Dicko suffered the blow against Charlton Athletic, and after the severity of the injury was revealed, Wolves announced that they expected the forward to be missing for the rest of the current campaign.

However, Dicko, who netted 15 goals for Wolves last season, has insisted that he won't accept that he may have to wait until next summer to make a return to first-team football.

The 23-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "I refuse to admit my season is over and refuse to be defeated by the injury.

"I'm not going to rush anything and we will see but I will do my best to recover as best as possible and if I could make it back before the end of the season, that would be fantastic.

"I will try and recover the best I can and if I can be here before the end of the season then great. If we can make it to the playoffs, then I might be there."

Dicko moved to Molineux from Wigan Athletic for £300,000 in January 2014.
