Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders insists that he doesn't let anything influence his thinking as the club's boss.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders has insisted that he doesn't listen to any of the criticism that has been aimed in his direction.

Saunders came under pressure from the club's supporters after he failed to win in his opening eight matches in charge, but he has revealed that he tries to ensure that outside influences don't alter his philosophy as manager.

The 48-year-old told the Birmingham Mail: "I try not to get affected by anyone – I know where I'm going, I know what we need and I'm in a rush to get it done.

"I don't let other things affect me – I don't listen to lots of rubbish that's spoken at times.

"I just carry on doing what I've been doing and what I've done in the past and I don't let it influence what I'm thinking."

Saunders will hope to make it three victories in four games when Wolves host Middlesbrough next weekend.
