Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly open to signing a striker from another English club in January.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly identified three strikers who they could potentially try to sign during the January transfer window.

The West Midlands outfit are currently four points clear at the top of the Championship standings, despite Leo Bonatini acting as the club's only recognised forward since the start of September.

Bonatini has contributed 12 goals and five assists in 20 league appearances but according to the Birmingham Mail, Nuno will press on with trying to find backup at the start of 2018.

Newcastle United forward Dwight Gayle could be targeted - despite scoring for the Magpies against Manchester United and Chelsea in recent weeks - while Derby County striker Chris Martin is also said to be on the radar, having only made four second-tier starts all season.

Bournemouth's Lewis Grabban - currently on loan at Sunderland - could also be considered after scoring 11 goals at the Stadium of Light this season.
