Ferrari's Fernando Alonso has set the fastest time of final practice at a drier Silverstone circuit this morning.
Drivers were pleased to see the heavy rain of the past few days hold off this morning leading to a mostly-dry track.
There were still wet patches on the circuit, however, and many drivers took a spin, including world championship leader Fernando Alonso.
The session was briefly red-flagged as Marussia's Charles Pic completely stopped halfway round the circuit.
Home favourites Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button traded fastest times midway through the session but they were upstaged by Alonso and Lotus duo Romain Grosjean and Kimi Raikkonen with 10 minutes remaining.
Both Sauber cars seemed to be struggling the most late on as Kamui Kobayashi spun out before Sergio Perez lost his front wing bouncing along the grass.
Button was impressive in setting the second-fastest time late on, while world champion Sebastian Vettel came in fourth.
