Lewis Hamilton has admitted to "mixed emotions" following his victory at the British Grand Prix.
Hamilton closed the gap on teammate and Championship leader Nico Rosberg to four points on Sunday, though Rosberg was forced to retire with around 20 laps remaining.
While insisting that he is happy with the win, the Brit would also liked to have seen his fellow Mercedes driver finish the race.
"It's very mixed emotions at the moment, but we have the greatest fans here. It was you guys who spurred me on," Hamilton is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"I don't want to see a teammate fail, I want a one-two, but I really needed this result."
The Formula 1 season resumes on July 20 with the German Grand Prix.
