Fernando Alonso is starting to feel optimistic about his prospects for Sunday's Korean Grand Prix despite starting two rows behind his title rival and championship leader Sebastian Vettel.
The Ferrari driver had seemed downbeat when speaking with the media after qualifying, criticising his car's performance and even Pirelli's tyre options, but the Spaniard suggests that he knows where to apply pressure.
He told The AP: "It will be a big opportunity for us, we will try to attack in [turn three] and [turn four].
"We know we had the weak point in the team and we know we have some other strong points. With this kind of problem for years, we still fought for the world championship."
Alonso currently trails Sebastian Vettel by 60 points in the drivers' standings.
