Paul di Resta keen on Force India stay

Paul Di Resta is hoping his record will be enough to secure his seat with Force India for next season.

British driver Paul di Resta has said that he is looking to stay with Force India next season despite speculation suggesting his Formula 1 future may be under threat.

Nico Hulkenberg and Pastor Maldonado have been linked with a move to the team and there have been hints that the Scot could be forced out of the sport, but Di Resta believes he has something to offer.

He told PA: "They know what I'm capable of here, they know what I can deliver. I feel like I'm an asset to the team.

"Obviously, things are getting tighter in the midfield to get seats, so I have to be content with what I've done, and I believe over the last four races I've done what's been asked of me."

Di Resta finished 16th in Sunday's US Grand Prix.
