Nico Rosberg is one of many in the Formula 1 world yet to receive a visa which will allow him into the country in time for the Indian Grand Prix, according to the Times of India.
F1 team members and journalist are also reportedly struggling to secure a visa in time for the race which takes place in the capital, New Delhi, on October 30.
"I just came back from Monza where people have been complaining about how difficult it is to get visas for the trip to India," said Team Lotus reserve driver Karun Chandhok, whose father Vicky is the head of India's motor sport clubs.
According to the newspaper, it is not just Rosberg who is having visa problems but also “half” of the Hispania team. Even the FIA’s head of communications, Matteo Bonciani, is apparently still waiting for his visa.
He said: “If the government takes three weeks to process a visa application, almost 90% of F1 people, me included, won’t attend the race."
