Lewis Hamilton fastest in second practice

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton records the fastest time in the second practice session ahead of Sunday's German Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton has edged out Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg in the second practice session ahead of Sunday's German Grand Prix.

Rosberg had topped the standings during the morning session, but Hamilton, who has momentum after his victory at the British Grand Prix, outpaced his Championship rival by 0.024 seconds.

Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo registered the third-fastest time, with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen and McLaren's Kevin Magnussen in fourth and fifth respectively.

Magnussen's teammate Jenson Button came seventh, while 2013 champion Sebastian Vettel ended the session in eighth place.
