Lewis Hamilton "happy" with Japanese Grand Prix qualifying

Lewis Hamilton is "really happy" with his third-place finish in qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has said that he is "really happy" with third place in qualifying for Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.

The Briton finished behind the Red Bulls of Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel on Saturday.

"I'm really happy," BBC Sport quotes him as saying. "I think the team did a great job so far this weekend.

"It was almost impossible to finish in front of these guys, they've had such a good package for such a long time. The car was feeling good, it was awesome today."

Hamilton is currently fourth in the drivers' rankings.
