Ferrari's Fernando Alonso has insisted that he is still proud of his team, despite losing out on the World Championship to Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel.
Alonso ended Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix in second place behind winner Jenson Button, but a sixth-placed finish for Vettel secured a third consecutive title for the German on a dramatic day in Interlagos.
"I'm very proud of the team," said Alonso. "We lost the championship before today, not in Brazil.
"When you do something with your heart and do it 100% you have to be proud of yourself and your team and we'll try again next year."
Vettel has become the youngest triple champion in Formula 1 history with this season's triumph.
