Bernie Ecclestone has revealed that Formula 1 is likely to be sold at some point this year.
The 84-year-old has confirmed that three potential buyers have come to the table, but he refused to reveal their identities.
It is believed that businessman Stephen Ross, who is the owner of NFL club Miami Dolphins, has been in talks with investors from Qatar about possibly purchasing a stake in F1.
"There has been a lot of interest and there are three [interested parties] at the moment," BBC Sport quotes Ecclestone as saying. "I will be surprised if one of them does not buy them shortly."
CVC Capital Partners is the current major shareholder with 35.5% ownership, while Ecclestone, who has asked potential buyers that he would like to remain as commercial chief, owns 5.3% of the sport.
