Jurgen Klopp, known for his remarkable ability to transform football teams with his energy and leadership, is embarking on a new chapter with Red Bull.

After leaving Liverpool FC at the end of the 2024 season, the 57-year-old will be introduced as Red Bull's Global Head of Soccer on Tuesday at the company's headquarters in Austria.

In this role, Klopp will oversee Red Bull's global football empire, which includes clubs like RB Leipzig, New York Red Bulls, and several others across continents.

Oliver Mintzlaff, who now leads Red Bull's sports operations following the passing of Dietrich Mateschitz, is confident about Klopp's fit with the organization. "He said, 'I think it's great, not just what's happening in football, but also the sports Red Bull is involved in, how much is being done for young talent,'" Mintzlaff told reporters.

Red Bull's Formula 1 advisor, Dr. Helmut Marko, sees Klopp's appointment as a game-changer, even hinting at the possibility of Klopp contributing to the motorsport division. "He is an extraordinary coach and a great motivator," Marko told TyC Sports.

"I would like him to be involved with the drivers. His experience and leadership could be decisive."

Marko called Red Bull's acquisition of Klopp "sensational," adding, "I just don't know how he wants to combine it all, all these different teams on different continents. Red Bull has a club in Germany, two in Austria, one in England, one in Japan, one in Brazil.

"But since football is very important to us, I think that was the best move that could have been made."

However, Marko admitted that discussions about Klopp's involvement with Formula 1 remain at an early stage. "To date, I have only seen him once in person, that's it," the 81-year-old said.
