Daniil Kvyat: Qualifying fifth at home race is "very exciting"

Toro Rosso driver Daniil Kvyat says that it is "very exciting" to have qualified in fifth for the inaugural Russian Grand Prix.

Daniil Kvyat has admitted that the prospect of starting from a career-best fifth at his home race, the inaugural Russian Grand Prix, is "very exciting".

The Toro Rosso driver, who currently sits 15th in the drivers' standings, will start from the third row on the grid in Sochi tomorrow.

The 20-year-old Russian told BBC Sport: "For us, it was an exciting and nice qualifying. It's very exciting. Now I will switch my focus to tomorrow's race."

Kvyat will move to Red Bull next season after four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel announced his departure from the team earlier this month.
