Phil Mickelson has admitted that he is frustrated with his form after he missed the cut by eight shots at the Open Championship.
His poor performance meant his run of 18 consecutive cuts made in major championships was brought to an abrupt halt, and the American has acknowledged that he needs to improve in the coming months.
"I don't know what to say about my play. I work with my coach and see if I can get myself into a better frame of mind heading into the next two months," he said.
"We have some big tournaments coming up and I know I have a lot of work to do."
Despite his slump in form in recent months, Mickelson did win at Pebble Beach in February and he has also recorded four top-10 finishes in 2012.
