Justin Rose has admitted that he will relish the chance of partnering Henrik Stenson for the opening fourballs of the 2014 Ryder Cup.
The European pair are friends away from the course, and after they were given the honour of playing in the first match of the three-day competition, Rose told of his excitement before teeing off at 7.35am on Friday morning.
The 34-year-old told Sky Sports News: "It's fantastic. I know Henrik really well but what I like more is that he is a fantastic player.
"Henrik is one of the best players in the world, a wonderful ball striker, and a great competitor as we all saw last year. I'm really excited to get out there with him."
Rose and Stenson will play the American duo of Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson.
