Colin Montgomerie has backed Tiger Woods to emerge victorious from the upcoming Masters.
Woods ended his two-and-a-half year wait for a PGA Tour victory with a five-shot win at Bay Hill yesterday evening.
When asked by Sky Sports News for his tip to win the Masters, Montgomerie replied: "Tiger."
The Scottish golfer went on to warn Woods's opponents that the former world number one will prove a tough opponent to beat if he has rediscovered his form of previous years.
"It's ominous for our top four Europeans, the Kaymers, the Donalds, the Westwoods and of course Rory McIlroy, it's ominous," added Montgomerie. "But it's good for the game, we've missed him. Forget what happened, let's just talk about Tiger Woods the golfer and the marketeer that he is for helping our game expand, and he did help it for the last 15 years.
"Yes, the last three years have been difficult, but now to have him back in the winner's circle is good for the game of golf.
"People are talking about the game of golf, people want to play the game of golf, people want to do now what Tiger Woods is doing on the golf course, it's brilliant."
Woods is currently the favourite with numerous bookmakers to win the Masters.
