Rory McIlroy has hailed an "incredible week" after winning his second major title at Kiawah Island on Sunday.
The Northern Irish star dominated the field, winning by a PGA championship record eight strokes to storm clear of a talented field.
The 23-year-old said: "I don't think I have let it sink in yet, it was a great round of golf. I just wanted to play solid, as I did all the way through the week. I got off to a shaky start but settled into it and my putting was phenomenal.
"It has been an incredible week, I had a good feeling about it at the start but I never imagined I would do this.
"It means an awful lot to look at the names on the trophy and to put my name beside them is something special."
McIlroy's win makes him the youngest player in history to win two major titles, beating Tiger Woods's record by just four months.
