Webb Simpson has opened up a four-shot lead at the halfway stage of the Shriners Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.
The 28-year-old American, who is still searching for his first win this year, was eight-under and bogey free until the 16th when a six saw him drop back to 14-under-par for the championship.
However, a birdie at the 18th saw him home in 63 and set the pace at 15-under, with five players leading the chase on 11-under.
Overnight leader JJ Henry is among that group, as is Jeff Overton, who briefly led the way last week in California.
Meanwhile, the cut was made at three-under-par, which meant the end of Martin Laird, Camilo Villegas, Angel Cabrera and last week's challenger Brooks Koepka.
