Tiger Woods has expressed his confidence in partner Steve Stricker ahead of the opening foursomes at the Ryder Cup.
The American pair are up fourth on Friday at the Medinah Country Club in Illinois as they take on English duo Ian Poulter and Justin Rose.
"Strick and I are very comfortable together," said Woods. "We've had some pretty good success over the years and we both have been playing well.
"Our captain said that would be a good fit and he wanted us out there to anchor. We know each other's game and we practice a lot together at tournaments. We know what to expect from each other."
Woods has lost the second-most foursomes matches for the USA in Ryder Cup history with seven defeats coming in his six appearances.
