Matt Ford has pushed himself into a one-shot lead at the top of the Africa Open leaderboard following a second-round 66.
The Englishman, who sits 11-under for the tournament, secured a six-under round after scoring four birdies on the front nine and recovered from dropping a shot by making an eagle on the 12th.
Kevin Phelan shared the lead with Ford after the first round, but the Irishman suffered three bogeys following a third-hole eagle and dropped down the field in South Africa today.
Phelan is now tied-14th and six shots off the pace, while Eduardo de la Riva is in contention following a six-under 66 round, which has placed him one shot behind Ford.
