Rory McIlroy shares PGA Tour Championship lead

World number one Rory McIlroy is joint leader going into the final day of the PGA Tour Championship after a three-under-par 67 in Atlanta.

Rory McIlroy will start the final round of the PGA Tour Championship with a share of the lead after firing a 69 in Atlanta.

The Northern Irishman began the day two shots behind Billy Horschel, but began in confident mood by making a birdie at the opening hole.

The world number one bogeyed the second, but picked up shots at the third and ninth holes to go out in 33.

Despite a bogey at 10, McIlroy found a birdie at 15 to top the leaderboard with Horschel, who carded a one-under-par 69.

The chasing pack is led by Jim Furyk [67], while Justin Rose carded a second consecutive 66 to move into a three-way tie for fourth place, alongside Jason Day and Rickie Fowler.
