Jordan Spieth holds a two-shot lead at the Hero World Challenge after carding a round of five-under on the second day of the competition in Florida.

American Jordan Spieth holds a two-shot lead at the Hero World Challenge in Florida after day two of the competition.

Spieth continued his fine performance from the first day, where he fired a round of six-under, as he notched a round of five-under with seven birdies, which was only blighted by a double-bogey on the sixth hole.

The 21-year-old's round was brought to a premature end as darkness halted him before he could he play the 18th hole in Florida along with Steve Stricker, who endured an even-par round which dropped him back 10 places in the competition.

Tiger Woods rebounded after suffering from a poor first round following his return from injury. The 38-year-old carded a two-under round of 70 to leave him three-over for the tournament.

Henrik Stenson moved two shots off the lead with a round of 68 at four-under. Patrick Reed carded the round of the day with a nine-under performance to move to eight-under with Justin Rose, who fired an eight-under round to move into contention.
