England's Jake Jarman wins his fourth gold medal of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the men's vault final, with Giarnni Regini-Moran in second.

England's Jake Jarman became a quadruple Commonwealth Games champion with a well-deserved gold medal in the men's artistic gymnastics vault final on Tuesday afternoon.

The 20-year-old already had a team, all-around and floor title to his name at the 2022 Games in Birmingham and followed up his previous successes with some stellar acrobatic work.

After being forced to take a couple of steps on his handspring double-front with a half twist, Jarman proceeded to perform a three-and-a-half twisting tsukahara - one of the most difficult vaults in the world.

With just a small step into the red zone of the landing mat, Jarman scored a massive 15.200 on his second vault to take the gold medal with an average of 14.916 across his two routines.

Joining him on the podium was teammate and birthday boy Giarnni Regini-Moran, who celebrated turning 24 in style with the silver medal after scoring an average of 14.633.

Regini-Moran took just the smallest of hops on his triple-twisting vault and landed almost identically on his handspring double front, with a number of gymnasts either under or over-rotating on that particular skill.

The bronze medal went to James Bacueti of Australia with 14.283, but it was not Emil Barber's day, as the Team Wales athlete landed short on both of his vaults to finish eighth with 13.033.
