Team England gymnast Nile Wilson has insisted that he does not feel disappointed to have missed out on a gold medal in the parallel bars final at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games due to the "unbelievable" performance by Scotland's Dan Purvis.
The 18-year-old led the scoring all the way through with 15.433, until Purvis delivered a routine worthy of a gold medal-winning 15.533.
"It was a great routine from Dan Purvis - it was unbelievable and I was happy to hit my routine and get a great score like that moving into the future," Wilson told Sports Mole.
"So, p-bar is definitely a piece for me, which I know I've got a chance in, so I'll just keep working hard and hopefully in the competitions to come I can keep producing those same performances."
As well as Wilson's silver, the Leeds-born gymnast scooped gold medals in the high bar and team finals, and a bronze in the all-around showdown.
