German gymnast claims second medal after horizontal bar gold in Baku

Germany gymnast Fabian Hambuechen finishes ahead of Vlasios Maras and Nikita Ignatyev to claim gold in the horizontal bar final this afternoon.

Germany gymnast Fabian Hambuechen picked up his second medal of the European Games after clinching gold in the horizontal bar final this afternoon.

Hambuechen, who won silver earlier today in the floor exercise final, won the bars event with a score of 15.533.

The German narrowly beat Greece's Vlasios Maras (15.366), while Russian Federation's Nikita Ignatyev (15.166) claimed bronze.

Ignatyev also won his second medal of the day, after winning silver in the men's rings final earlier this afternoon.
