British gymnast Max Whitlock has claimed that his aim is to become a "legend" in the sport.
In his career so far, the 21-year-old has won two Olympic medals, six European Championship medals and eight from the Commonwealth Games.
In the summer, Whitlock's coach Scott Hann stated that the athlete could become a "legend" of British sport, and the gymnast himself admits that achieving that goal is on his list.
Whitlock told The Guardian: "I want to go to a number of Olympic Games and go on as long as I can. To be called a legend in any sport is an unbelievable achievement. I'd love to achieve that."
Whitlock is with his fellow British gymnasts in China this week for the World Championships.
