Love, who uses his feet to bowl having been born without arms, played alongside David Fisher and Paul Brown to beat Scotland 16-12 to secure the bronze earlier today.
The 60-year-old said: "It is the pinnacle of all my sporting achievement, I have been playing this sport all over the world for 30 years and this is pinnacle really.
"We've only come together as a team about four or five weeks before this event so it is great to return a bronze medal.
"You have to keep calm in that sort of situation, if you don't stay calm you will lose the game entirely. This is a team event and we all contributed to that medal."
The open triples features para-athletes with a range of disabilities.
